Veterinary Medicine and Surgery

Surgery/Dental 3

As our name implies, we do more than give vaccinations or provide routine care for your companion animals. We offer veterinary surgical services almost every day of the week to accomodate a variety of schedules. Our surgical suite is state-of-the-art and our experienced veterinary staff has more than 75 years of combined surgical experience. Our veterinarians tackle mass removals, foreign object retrieval from gastro intestinal tracts, gastric dilatation (bloat) emergencies to name a few.

Your pet will have access to the same anesthetic drugs and inhalant gases that are currently used in human anesthesiology. Active scavenging of waste anesthetic gases, CO2 laser use to reduce intraoperative bleeding and post operative pain and swelling, multi systems patient monitoring (EKG, Pulse Oximetry, Blood pressure), and a heated surgical table and post op recovery kennels are options we may employ to help improve the safety of our patients.

While we offer most surgical services, some cases require referrals to other instititutions for a variety of reasons. Some of these can be radiation therapy, hip replacement, and similar long-term solutions. If you need a referral, please drop in and speak with our vets or use our ask a Vet form.

We also are experienced in managing difficult medicine cases such as diabetic ketoacidosis, Canine Cushings Disease, Addisonian Crisis, acute and chronic kidney failure, as well as first level chemotherapy for lymphoma and mast cell cancers when referral to a specialist is not an option.
